Graphic Design • marketing • Chalkboard Art
Hi! I'm Mary Jacobs, a creative designer/craft enthusiast.
I grew up in Minneapolis, went off to Iowa State University to study
Art & Design and Environmental Science, and now I am back in the city
I love, working with local businesses I believe in.
I began my artistic career as the Arts & Crafts Program Director at
summer camp teaching popsicle stick architecture, tie-dying 101
and friendship bracelet weaving.
Once I placed roots back in Minneapolis, I started working for my local
co-op after leaving an in-house designer role for a poppin' bowling
alley in Iowa. At Lakewinds Food Co-op, I wore many hats within the
marketing department, including Chalkboard Artist, Events Coordinator,
Digital Marketing Coordinator, and finally Design & Production Specialist.
I'm currently doing freelance work for small local businesses, and individuals.
When I am not making pretty things for people, you can find me bothering
my two cats, paddling around with old camp pals, drinking local IPAs,
answering trivia questions correctly, or teaching myself to play the banjolin.
As a designer, I value:
As a human, I value:
transparency & efficiency
collaboration & community
a good sense of humor
